How much does a tattoo cost?

The price of a Tattoo depends on the time taken, how large it is, where it is placed and the design. An exact price can therefore not be given on the phone or by e-mail. It is best if you come by with your idea or design and discuss it with us in our studio in Olten. As a general guide for you: A small Tattoo costs between CHF 200 – 500. A word-motif between CHF 200 – 500. A larger motif from CHF 350 upwards. The above prices are not binding.

Why do requiere a deposit?

When you come to your first tattoo appointment, we will require a deposit between CHF 100 and CHF 200. The reason is that we have already drawn up the finished design and reserved the time required for discussions and tattooing. The deposit will be refunded as soon as the tattoo is finished, or at the last appointment.

Can I bring my own ideas round?

We are always happy to discuss your individual ideas.

Do you also draw up from sketches?

We will be pleased to finalize an original Tattoo from your ideas and sketches.

How long does a tattoo heal?

Normally between 8 and 12 days. During this time, the tattoo should be kept clean and covered. After approximately 4 weeks, it should be completely healed. See the chapter on tattoo care.

Do I have to touch up my tattoo?

Not necessarily. The most important thing is to come round after it has completely healed in, say, 4 weeks. If any color is missing or has faded, we will touch it up for you. This is completely free for the first 6 months.

How do you guarantee hygiene?

We only use disposable sterilized materials, in addition to which we are very careful to ensure that no contamination can take place. This is in both our interests.

Can you cover old Tattoos?

Most Tattoos can be covered with a new motif. We will be happy to take a look at your proposals. As a rule, cover-ups must be larger than the original. In some cases we can improve, redraw or freshen up the colors of existing Tattoos.

Can you remove Tattoos?

Removing tattoos is feasible. Our highly trained team uses the latest technology for tattoo lasering. Please visit our dedicated tattoo removal page where you will find much more information and also prices.

Tattoos can fade in time. How strongly, depends on the sun and the aging of the skin generally. Excessive sunbathing and solarium visits can accelerate the fading process. For the first 2 or 3 years, we recommend using a Sun creme with factor 30+.

At what age can I get tattooed?

We offer tattoos for people aged 18 and upwards.

It is important to realize that Tattooing can be painful. This is however dependent on the individual reaction to pain. The pain can also be relevant to the way you feel on a particular day and of course, not every part of the body reacts in the same way. It is important to be relaxed, have enough sleep and a good meal before. Under no circumstances should you take drugs, painkillers (e.g. Aspirin), alcohol oder similar substances 48 hours before your appointment. All these substances have a negative effect – especially alcohol, which causes the blood-vessels to expand and leads to excessive bleeding, which has a negative influence on your Tattoo.

In our tattoo and piercing studio in Olten in the canton of Solothurn we only use colours which are covered by the Common Market and Swiss Cosmetic Substances Regulations and which conform to the German and Swiss (EDI rule 817.023.31) Cosmetic Substances (VKos) Tattoo Substances rules. As with all colours, tattoo colours are sensitive to light and react to strong UV influences (sunlight, solarium) in that they are prone to fading. Allergies: The body react allergically to any number of substances and foodstuffs, such as peanuts, milk products, grass and hay, lotions and much more. As well as which, a residual risk of an allergic reaction to the colors themselves cannot be totally excluded, although in practice such cases are extremely seldom.

A freshly pricked tattoo can be compared to a skin graze. The amount of care needed depends on the type of skin, where the tattoo is and how large it is. On the first day, after 3-6 hours, remove the transparent film and wash the place lightly with low-warm water. Dab it dry with a fresh towel or let it dry in the air. After drying, use a mild skin-lotion or if necessary, wrap in household film. After 1-3 weeks, put some lotion on the tattoo 2-3 times a day. If you have dry skin, you can do it more often, but avoid using to much lotion. In the beginning, use more than towards the end. At the latest after 4 weeks the Tattoo should be healed. Important notes: Never scratch a tattoo before it has healed. Avoid Solariums, swimmingpools and strong sunlight. Rough woven cloth or fuzzy clothing. Avoid mechanical pressure (e.g. rubbing from shoes, trousers etc.) or cover the place in advance with household film. We recommend the following tattoo lotions: Bepanthen Creme or After Ink. Too little care, or using unsuitable lotions can damage your tattoo or cause unnecessary skin problems. Retouching may then be necessary, which is also an increased burden for the skin. The healing process should be supported by using the correct disinfectant 2-3 times a day – more so in the beginning than towards the end. Important notes: Only touch the piercing with clean hands. Never take the jewelry out yourself. Do not shake the piercing (Dermal Anchor or Skin Diver) back and forth. Avoid sun, solarium, and swimming in lakes and swimming pools. In order to support the natural healing process, we recomend Bepanthen Plus Spray, Vita Merfen or Prontolind. For oral use, Kamillosan oral care mouthwash is time-proven. We do not recomend using ointments and creams, as they block the wound and prolong the healing process. Sometimes a crust of blood and lymph fluid builds-up around the wound edges and the jewelry. Clean both with a disinfectant cleaner, either with cotten buds or under the shower. For the care of Lips, Labret, Madonna, Medusa and Eyebrow-piercings: The healing process takes from 6-12 weeks. In the beginning, use a disinfectant 2 – 3 times a day, towards the end 1-2 times a day. For the care of Ear, Helix, Tragus, Septum, Industrial und Nose-piercings: The healing process takes from 2-6 months. In the beginning, use a disinfectant 2-3 times a day, towards the end 1-2 times a day. For the care of Tongue, and Frenulum of the Tongue piercings: The healing process takes from 3-6 weeks. In the beginning, use a disinfectant 2-4 times a day, towards the end 1-2 times a day. Do not smoke for the first 5 days. The same applies to drinking alcohol. Cool the tongue strictly only with cold water or cold chamomile tea. After every meal, rinse well with cold non-carbonated water. If necessary, cool the swollen tongue during the day with ice-cold chamomile tea 5 to 7 times per day. During the first 2 weeks avoid soft drinks, coffee, milk products, hot spicy and sour food, (including fruit). Do without french-kisses and oral sex. For the care of Navel, Nipples and other sensitive areas: The healing process takes from 3–6 months. In the beginning disinfect 2-3 times, towards the end 1-2 times a day. For the care of Dermal Anchor or Skin Diver: The healing process takes from 3-8 weeks. Disinfect 1-2 times a day for the first 2 weeks, once a day or every second day for the next 2-3 weeks. Cover the Dermal Anchor with a plaster day and night for the first 6-7 days, so that the Dermal Anchor or Skindiver fixed into the skin tissue. Continue to use a plaster at night for 3 days afterwards. At all costs must the Skin Diver be covered for 10-14 days and nights, as the risk of running is greater than in the case of the Dermal Anchor (Great care must be taken when removing the plaster). For the care of Intimate piercings: The healing process takes from 2-6 weeks, sometimes longer depending on the piercing (Hafadas, Christina, Ampallang, Apadravya or Dydoe-Piercings). In the beginning, disinfect 2-3 times a day, afterwards 1-2 times a day. As a basic principle, avoid oral-intercourse and sexual intercourse without a contraceptive (condom). Remember: If you follow our healing-tips strictly, you will get an all-around better and longer pleasure from your piercing. If you have any questions, we are always here to help you. I’ve been suffering from hay fever for the past two years. This year was especially bad. It ranged from a runny nose to a severely blocked nose, my eyes were itchy, and my throat felt scratchy. I could hardly sleep at night because I couldn’t breathe properly. I also lost my sense of smell and taste.

Before getting the piercing, I often had a blocked nose, which would also lead to headaches. I also had to sneeze constantly and generally felt a bit fatigued during hay fever season. Fortunately, I never had any problems with my eyes (no itching or burning).

Since getting the piercing, I haven’t experienced these symptoms anymore. I haven’t had a severely blocked nose, headaches, or excessive sneezing. Even though my app showed high pollen levels on some days, I didn’t need to take a single allergy tablet throughout the entire season.
